In the air

His voice lingers in the air and alters all to be laid bare

His voice lingers in the air extinguishing all that made us care

His voice lingers in the air rendering us powerless as we stop and stare at the invisible melodies lingering in the air

His voice lingers in the air, covering the floors and crawls up the walls, seeping through the doors and every corner without a care

His voice lingers in the air warming the coldness of a winter’s plight, triggering the senses to awaken and ignite.

His voice lingers in the air like a thin invisible haze all fragile and threadbare.

His voice lingers in the air as a pair of brown green eyes fixed upon something with a single stare.

His voice lingers in the air as the notes from the heart strings resonate in a harmonic dictation set to cause total devastation, such perfection in this wonderful creation.

His voice lingers in the air as agendas and deadlines dissolve away without a care for as long as his presence lingers in melody or other ways, though temporary.

His voice lingers in the air as the shattered remains of a composer’s masterpiece collide in a fusion of nuclear ambition, all through his vocal intuition.

His voice lingers in the air like unseen particles conducting a serenade, the dance of the ages without reservation or fear, brought to us for an infinity, la danza is the aria that sets senses into a tangle.

His voice lingers in the air, final thirty seconds holding our breath for fear of interrupting the triumph from above, the finale reigns through a single note before reality is restored, the spell broken with nothing more to devote or promote.

And yet still his voice lingers in the air, resonating deep and true, as the unseen star of the show fades away to reign from his golden throne, oh that of the voice of a baritone.

His voice lingers in the air.
